Mr. Charles Dorman received a special visit Friday from a volunteer representing the Delaware ESGR office. The staff of the Wilmington VAMC was nominated for the "Patriot Award" by Olufemi Olatunji, a Behavioral Health nurse, for the support he received while serving on active duty with his military unit.

Accepting the award for the hospital staff, Dorman said "it was great to be recognized, but for us, it's just the right thing to do. It's one of the Four Rs - do the right thing in the right way at the right time for the right reasons. It was a team effort and 'thanks' go the entire organization."

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve was created to recognize the support employers give to reservists and National Guard members. ESGR volunteer Melissa Bruhl, a military spouse, said "it's great that people can serve and not worry about their job while they are deployed."
