Audiology provides comprehensive clinical services to Veterans with hearing, tinnitus and balance disorders. Veterans who have a Service Connected disability rating through the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) for hearing loss may contact the Audiology Department directly and request an appointment. Other Veterans who need audiology services may also contact the clinic directly to schedule an appointment.  The following eligibility criteria have been established for audiology services:

Complete audiology services, INCLUDING hearing aids:

  • 0% service connection for impaired hearing, ear condition, tinnitus
  • 10-100% service connection for ANY condition
  • Ex-POW
  • Purple Heart recipients
  • Aid and Attendance recipients
  • House bound
  • Hearing evaluation: INCLUDING eligibility for hearing aids if a registered Veteran
  • Service connection for ANY condition other than impaired hearing
  • Non-service connected Veterans who are registered with Wilmington VA Medical Center or a related Community Based Outpatient Clinic for their health care
